
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CHEMISTRY
Chemistry is the branch of the natural science that studies matter, its composition, properties and reactions. It includes the "study, analysis, modification and calculations of physico-chemical or biochemical properties of matter". The Core disciplines of disciplines of chemistry are inorganic, organic, analytical, physical chemistry and biochemistry.
Chemistry is beneficial to society. It is the foundation science for many industrial and agricultural processes that produce useful products that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life.
With a BS degree and professional license, a chemistry graduate can choose between academe, industry or entreprenuership career in pharmaceuticals, quality control, chemical manufacture, agricultural works, scientific researches, and other specialized fields in chemistry.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES
After five (5) years, graduates of BS Chemistry are:
Registered Chemists holding executive positions in diverse career paths equipped with technical and scientific expertise for quality assurance, research and development;
Chemistry practitioners who discover, invent, innovate and/or adapt to new approaches and technologies in dealing with chemistry-related problems for potential commercialization;
Morally upright and holistic professionals who possess interpersonal expertise and valuew work, community, and environmental preservation.
