The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) as mandated by R.A. 10919 is classified as under the category of State Universities and Colleges (SUC). With R.A. 10931 or the "Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act" indicating exception to payment of tuition and other school fees.
