COMPETENCY ENHANCEMENT TRAINING IN INVESTIGATORY SCIENCE RESEARCH

The project is a comprehensive review, critiquing, and consultation of the investigatory projects of the students from Cagayan de Oro National High School (CDONHS) catered with a 3-day lecture seminar and workshop on research methods intended for the research instructors of CDONHS.

The main objective of the event was to review, critique, and enhance the proposed investigatory projects of 30 students from the Cagayan de Oro National High School together with their respective research advisers. The event gave the students a view point on the possible tracks of their proposed researches together with additional inputs and suggestion for improving their research proposals.
The extension project highlights the 3-day lecture-seminar and workshop on research methods intended for Grade-9 and Grade-10 research instructors. The main objective of the 3-day lecture is to enable research instructors in the Junior High level to conceive possible researchable topics/ideas and develop an effective research and experimental design. Furthermore, the participants were required to come up and present their possible research topics after the end of the 3-day lecture-seminar and workshop. The 3-day event was participated by 13 Junior High School Research Instructors from CDONHS.
Each group were required to present their outputs via powerpoint presentation of their possible research ideas. Each group presentation was critiqued and evaluated together with adding of valuable inputs and suggestion for the conduct and implementation of their research designs.

A 10-episode Podcast Series that aims to provide awareness on the current status of the Pandemic such as the (i) the biochemistry of the COVID-19 virus, (ii) preventive actions in contracting the virus, (iii) and the current status on the possible treatment and production of vaccines.
